Would it look stupid to wear a swim coverup as a dress?
I was shopping yesterday and found this cute swim coverup. I really like it, and I actually got to thinking, would this work as a casual dress that I could wear out in public, rather than just to the beach?

Except I wouldn't wear it that loose, I think it looks bad on me loose so I cinch it in all the way at the waist so it has a more fitted and flowy look. And obviously, I would wear a tank top underneath.
So would that look stupid? Will people be able to tell that it's a swim coverup and not a dress?
It wouldn't look bad as a dress if the top wasn't so open. If you wore the right undershirt, you may be able to pull it off.
