If you book a cruise on a 3rd party site (hotwire) can you request rooms close to people traveling with you?
My family wants to go on a cruse together. The prices on hotwire and expedia are a lot cheaper than on the cruise website. Can you book on a third party site and request rooms that are together on the cruise?
Yes, you can request specific rooms wherever you book. Note that you won't be able to buy a "guarantee" category, as this specifically means that cabins are unassigned. (You'll find a video explaining the different cabin categories on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQHfxLvSlmk)
Before you buy, do shop around. The easiest way is to put a quote request into http://www.cruisecompete.com. You can then put the best price you received from Hotwire or Expedia right in the comments, and see if anyone can beat it. It doesn't take long to do, and if you don't get a better offer there's no obligation to buy.
