Wearing a kimono?
I'm pretty tall for a girl (I'm between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 
and I've been wanting to buy a kimono for forever but I don't know what length it should be. I don't want it to be too short or too long. Also what are some good sites to purchase one?
Kimonos can be quite expensive (up into the thousands of dollars), so it is often better to find a vintage kimono. You will also need to have an obi and sash to wear under the obi, and geta (sandals). There is also an under kimono garment. Wearing a kimono is an art that Japanese women take classes to learn. Another alternative is to get a yukata. Yukatas are often worn in the summer to view the fireworks displays, and they are easier to wear and not as expensive.
