How to turn a mens jacket into a dress?

I want to wear a mans army jacket as a halloween costume. I was thinking about wearing a shirt underneath and buttoning it halfway then cinching it with a belt. The sleeves are still pretty big. Any ideas?

Sounds like your idea is good! maybe with the sleeves, just rolls them up for a slouchy menswear type look.
